1868. NGC graded MS-61. This is a true condition rarity. For many years specialists doubted that any mint state pieces even existed for this scarce date. Then over time a few new coins trickeled out from various sources and here is one of the very few that has been certified as Mint State. A nice frosty example that shows only scattered light marks and retains much of the original appeal imparted by the dies in 1868. Only 10,630 struck. Pop 2; none finer at NGC.
