1910. NGC graded Proof 66. Boldly struck and untoned, and a lovely example of this rare and desirable proof issue. This date has an issue of proofs reportedly struck of 682 pieces, but clearly no where near that number exist today, as CoinFacts estimates only 136 are known today. So either a whole lot were melted or something else, but what is known is that this date is scarce and desirable, especially at the gem or finer grade level. This one is nearly perfect in preservation, with no signs of handling or detracting spots, with uniform satin yellow gold throughout.
