1892 Official Columbian Exposition Award Medal - Hoffman, Ahlers & Co. Eglit-90, Bronze. Brilliant Uncirculated. The obverse was engraved by Augustus Saint Gaudens. The reverse was engraved by Charles F. Barber. It was struck by the U.S Mint. This medal was awarded to Hoffman, Ahlers & Co., Cincinnati based coppersmiths who made distilling equipment. It is enclosed in its original black plush lined aluminum case. This medal is difficult to find in high grade and without spots or uneven color. The color on this one is a rich and even reddish brown. Estimated Value $500 - UP
