1906. NGC graded Proof 68. Fully white gem proof with a crisp and full strike, gorgeous original mint surfaces and exceptional surface quality. This coin is virtually as nice as the moment is was struck at the Mint so long ago. Recall that in 1906, the area of San Francisco suffered from a terrible earthquake and subsequent fire which wiped out much of that city. That earthquake had major ramifications on the east coast as well, and a financial crises was soon boiling over in 1907.
