Lot 182

1920-D. NGC graded MS-66. Lightly toned and well struck with bright nickel-silver surfaces, and quite attractive. Among the finest known for this challenging date, and certainly one of the finest known today. An interesting thin die crack extends off the Chief's nose to the rim at the right. Full horn on the bison, and the split tail is visible too. A condition rarity when found so incredibly outstanding, and a delight to examine. The surfaces are simply splendid, with nary a mark or tick anywhere on these surfaces. Its extraordinary to find a 1920-D Buffalo nickel so well preserved. Pop 2; 1 finer in 67 Star. Estimated Value $35,000 - UP
