1855 N-10 R1 Italic 55 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with slightly darker chocolate toning on the left side of the obverse. The only mark is a thin horizontal nick over the upper loop in the wreath ribbon. Sharply struck with smooth, hard fields on both sides. EDS. Star 6 is weak due to a clog in the die at that spot (the so-called 12-Star die state). Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 13 finer. Value $275 - UP
