Lot 940

1855 N-4 R1 Upright 55 PCGS graded MS63 Red & Brown. Lustrous mellowed mint red fading to steel brown and chocolate. About half the obverse and 20% of the reverse show mint color. There is a large spot of brown toning between star 5 and the coronet and a dark olive area at star 11, and a smaller spot midway between stars 1 & 2. The only other mark is a tiny scratch or struck-through line on the upright of the 1 in the date. The reverse is flawless. EDS, die state a, before any die cracks or rim breaks. Our grade is MS62. Value $350 - UP
