1854 N-28 R5- PCGS graded AU58. Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth and very attractive with no defects and just a touch of wear on the highpoints. The best identifying feature is some weakness in the dentils at star 6 and in the opposing dentils under the end of the wreath ribbon (as struck). E-MDS, die state b. Our grade is AU50, CC#4 for this tough die variety in the Grellman census. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 4 finer: 2 in 62, 2 in 63. Value $300 - UP
