Lot 914

1853 N-27 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Lustrous medium brown and light chocolate. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only notable mark is a very shallow planchet flake or low spot under star 7. LDS, die state d, with flowlined fields and a pair of very narrow and barely visible rim cud breaks on the obverse. A nice cent. Our grade is MS60. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 4 finer: 3 in 65, 1 in 66.
