Lot 884

1852 N-4 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with puffs of darker chocolate toning at stars 3-6 and another at the bottom of the reverse. No notable contact marks. Nicely struck MDS, die state a, with fine die flowlines but no cracks. Our grade is MS60. A nice cent that comes with an equally nice provenance. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 4 finer: 3 in 64, 1 in 66. Value $300 - UP
