1851 N-17 R2 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty light to medium olive. Sharply struck and very attractive. Looks mint state but there is a trace of rub on the highest points of the devices. Nearly flawless. The best identifying mark is a tiny diagonal planchet chip on the shoulder (as struck). E-MDS, die state b. The diagonal die lines behind the date are gone. Our grade is AU58+. Previously housed in a PCGS holder graded MS63BN (PCGS label #1892.63/9211417). The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 5 finer: 4 in 64, 1 in 65. Value $225 - UP
