1848 N-29 R3 PCGS graded MS62 Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty light to medium brown with light olive toning on the reverse. Traces of mint red show on the reverse and this cent has mint state eye appeal in spite of a trace of friction at the top of the ear. Just a few trivial marks including a tick on the front end of the eyelash and a couple light nicks on the top of the bust. MDS, die state b, with a tiny rim cud break over the left side of star 8. Our grade is AU55. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 3 finer: 2 in 64, 1 in 64+. Value $275 - UP
