1848 N-20 R3- Repunched 48 PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved. Frosty uniform light to medium brown. The only marks are a few microscopic ticks on the nose and cheek plus a spot of darker toning (not carbon) at the end of the wreath ribbon. Nicely struck M-LDS, die state b. The tops of the C & E in CENT are joined by crumbling and the repunching on the 48 is clear. Our grade is AU58. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 4 finer: 1 in 62, 2 in 64, 1 in 65. Value $250 - UP
