1848 N-3 R2 Repunched Date PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty medium brown with traces of mint red remaining visible on the reverse. A sharp cent that looks mint state but there is a very light touch of rub on the highest points of the portrait. No notable marks or other defects. M-LDS, die state c. Repunching is visible on all 4 digits of the date. Our grade is AU58. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 4 finer: 3 in 64, 1 in 65.
