1847 N-38 R1 NGC graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved. Highly lustrous steel brown and tan with 5-10% of the planchet showing mint red. The only marks are a tiny spot of darker toning (not carbon) off the upper right point of star 3, a puff of darker bluish steel toning at star 13, and a collection of microscopic struck-through lint marks inside the wreath (as struck). E-MDS, die state b. The fine die lines from the main and inner curls are still visible. Our grade is MS63. Value $400 - UP
