Lot 754

1845 N-12 R3 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Glossy medium chocolate and light olive brown with slightly faded mint red in protected areas on both sides. Mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only mark is a very thin diagonal nick on the cheek. Nicely struck LDS, die state d, with a narrow rim cud break from star 3 nearly up to star 4. A very nice cent. Our grade is MS60+, tied for CC#6 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 3 finer: 2 in 64, 1 in 65. Value $500 - UP
