1845 N-5 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Medium olive and steel brown with 25% of the obverse and 10% of the reverse showing mint color. Looks choice but there is a short vertical scratch under the 1 and a faint scratch in the field near the mouth. Sharply struck EDS, die state a, before the obverse die cracked at star 2. Our grade is MS62+, tied for CC#10 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 3 finer: 2 in 65, 1 in 65+. Value $450 - UP
