Lot 710

1841 N-2 R2 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. A lustrous mint state cent that was once attached to a display board leaving dull marks on the rim at stars 1, 5, & 11. Otherwise the only marks are some thin planchet lamination streaks at stars 8-10 (as struck). Light olive and steel brown with about 15% of the planchet showing mellowed mint red. MDS, die state b. The hub defects at the date are gone. Our grade is AU55. The attribution and Matthews Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 3 finer: 1 in 63, 2 in 65. Value $300 - UP
