Lot 597

1850 N-22 R4. PCGS graded MS-65+ Brown. CAC. Lustrous light steel brown with overtones of bluish steel and generous traces of mint red remaining on the reverse. There is a patch of slightly darker bluish steel toning at the dentils over star 3, a tiny nick in the field off the chin, and a small spot of carbon right of the T in CENT. LDS, die state c late, with flowlined fields and a strong lump on the middle leaf under U in UNITED. Our grade is MS62, CC#7 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 66. (PCGS # 405913) Value $650 - UP
