1855 C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. CAC. Frosty medium chocolate and olive with 25% of the mint red remaining visible on the obverse while only traces of faded mint color remain on the reverse. The only marks are a tiny speck of carbon under the lower point of star 4 and another nestled between the tops of the A & T in STATES. Nicely struck MDS with at least two-thirds of the obverse dentils and all the reverse dentils visible (this variety usually comes with smeared or incomplete dentils). Our grade is MS63. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 5 finer: 4 in 65, 1 in 66. (PCGS # 35333) Value $500 - UP
