1794 C-5a R4+ Small Edge Letters VG7. Several points sharper but the planchet is covered with microscopic roughness mixed with some shallow planchet flakes on the portrait. There are several fine scratches hidden in the toning on the obverse, the strongest of these at the feet of BER in LIBERTY. Slightly glossy dark chocolate brown and steel. The date is strong and the legends are complete and clear. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die clashmarks. The reverse is rotated 10 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. The small edge letters are complete and strong. Value $1,000 - UP
