1794 C-4b R6+ Large Edge Letters AG3. Rather glossy light to medium brown blending to light olive in protected areas. There is very fine roughness in the fields and protected areas but the raised devices are mostly smooth. No verdigris and the only notable marks are a few light horizontal scratches through the date. The date is easily readable and most of the legends are visible, but nothing is strong. The area at the date was rubbed leaving lighter toning in that area. EDS, Manley state 1.0, without any die clashmarks. The large edge letters are complete and strong. A well-worn but wholly acceptable example of this extremely rare variety. Value $3,000 - UP
