1845 N-5 R1. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown+. CAC. Very attractive lustrous medium brown and light olive with bluish steel overtones on both sides and traces of mint red on the reverse. No spots or stains, only a few minor contact marks. The notables ones are a small diagonal nick right of the nostril and a diagonal nick hidden in the hair under the E in LIBERTY. MDS, die state a late. The die lines over UNIT are dull but visible and the die crack at star 2 has not formed. Our grade is MS62+, tied for CC#10 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Nancy & Bryan Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; none finer. (PCGS # 397752) Value $1,000 - UP
