1842 N-3 R3 Large Date. PCGS graded MS-65 Red & Brown. CAC. Lustrous light bluish steel brown and olive with faded mint red covering about 15% of the obverse, 25% of the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only marks, and they are barely visible, are a tiny nick on the rim under the 2 in the date and a few tiny marks at D-S on the reverse. MDS, die state b. Graded MS63 Choice and CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #61464. Our grade is MS63+, close to MS64, and tied for CC#6 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Nancy & Bryan Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 66RB. (PCGS # 407635) Value $3,000 - UP
