1838 N-3 R1. PCGS graded MS-65 Red & Brown. CAC. Frosty mint red fading to steel brown on the devices with 25% of the planchet showing mint color. No spots or stains, and the only contact mark is a tiny, barely visible tick on the chin. E-MDS with traces of the nearly vertical die lines over the left edge of the E in CENT still visible. The dentils from below 183 to star 1 are blurred, as always on this variety. Our grade is MS64. A beautiful cent. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 65+. (PCGS # 37187) Value $2,250 - UP
