1842-O. NGC graded AU-58. Boldly struck with nice light golden toning. Nice and attractive for this low mntage, and condition rarity. The obverse shows a couple of old cuts in the surfaces, two on Liberty's lower chin, and another behind her hair bun in the field. The reverse is well matched and also appealing. This is a tough New Orleans issue to find in any grade approaching Mint State. Only 27,400 struck. Pop 26; 5 finer, 2 in 60, 2 in 61, 1 in 62. (PCGS # 8587) Value $10,000 - UP
