Lot 1534

1846-O. PCGS graded MS-61. Well struck with lovely light golden toning on both sides. The fields and devices have a decidedly satin smoothness to them, and are clearly well preserved since the time of issue. The devices are all bold, and the fields are clean in terms of handling. For identification a tiny nick is found just below the leading edge of the curl over Liberty's ear. Here is one of the finer examples of this date and mint to come down to us. Only 62,000 struck. Pop 12; 8 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7743) Value $4,500 - 5,000
