1801. NGC graded AU-50. Here is a very high grade coin which is seldom offered this well preserved and especially this attractive. Lightly toned with steel gray overall, deeper tones around the rims and brighter at the centers. The devices are accented by the toning, which adds to the eye appeal. Bold and beautiful, with strong separation on Liberty's curls as well as the eagle's wing feathers. The surfaces are pleasing too, with only a few minimal nicks and handling marks noted under careful scrutiny. Only 30,289 struck. Pop 4; 11 finer at NGC. Value $9,000 - 10,000
