NASA Training SONY Digital Handycam DCR-TRV25 ---- ARED PROJECT CAMERA 1. Late 1990s Digital Handycam DCR-TRV25 deaccessioned by NASA. Camera has NASA "Excess Transportation Document" attached to side of original box. Camera does have all sorts of cables and chargers as well as original lithium battery. On side of camera are labels reading "ARED PROJECT CAMERA 1". "ARED" The Advanced Resistive Exercise Device allowed the crew to engage in resistive exercise onboard the ISS by simulating the use of free weights. Likely this camera was used to record testing of the exercise device. Again, whether this camera was used onboard ISS is not known but that is the information we have on hand. Camera while showing use is in very good condition. Estimated Value $250 - UP
