Apollo 17: Gene Cernan Co-Signed Original Ink Sketch Artwork by Acclaimed Space Artist, Robert McCall. Gene Cernan, the 11th Moonwalker who flew to the moon in December of 1972 on the last mission, Apollo 17. Cernan has boldly signed a wonderful original illustration by acclaimed space artist Robert McCall. McCall is likely the most celebrated artist through much of the space program as well as the the artist of thee posters for Stanley Kubrick's 2001: a space odyssey, all three highly prized in the classic film poster community. Illustration is inscribed to Cernan "Congratulations On Your Magnificent Achievement. Bob McCall" and measures 8 x 12". This is illustration is on the blank inside covrer of a color brochure on Robert McCall. Illustration is in wonderful condition but know there is a remarkable coincidence of a shadow/discoloration to left side of illustration which is toning from a color Apollo XVII logo from the facing page. It looks very much a part of the original work! Comes with COA signed by Gene Cernan from his Gene Cernan Garage Sale which was handled by NOVASPACE Galleries. Estimated Value $300 - UP
