Meissen Porcelain: Charming Young Couple Courting with Flute. Exceptional, finely modeled Meissen porcelain figure of a couple courting, she sitting near a tree, and he helping her to play the flute. Couple are fashioned on a naturalistic base with the ususal Meissen attention to detail throughout. Meissen mark of underglaze blue crossed swords mark with pommels, and pressed into the number 132 and the number 64 hand executed in red underglazed as well. Piece is in excellent condition. The only issue noted after careful examination is a tiny single leaf and petal in the tiny basket of flowers at her feet have a fleabite sized chip otherwise excellent. 5½ x 3½ x 4¾".
