Tassananchalee, Kamol. Artists Colors (Acrylic, Bamboo and Resin). (1944-) Born and living in Taiwan, Kamol Tassananchalee has made quite an impact in the American art market as his paintings and mixed media sculptures have found broad appeal. In Los Angeles, his work could be frequently found in a number of restaurants established by Wolfgang Puck and decorated by then wife Barbara Lazaroff, including Chinois and Tsala Thai. Offered is a mixed media abstraction of three-dimensional tubes of art paint made of paper, gouache and bamboo contained in a custom lucite shadowbox which can be displayed on a table or hung on the wall. The center tube is particularly whimsical in that it has been "unzipped" with close examination revealing indeed a zipper visible on the open "fly" of the tube. In excellent condition, each tube is hand signed by the artist and each dated 1978. Art work and shadow box measures 15½ x 36 x 5". Estimated Value $2,500 - UP

Realized $1,560
