Salvador Dalí. "Memories of Surrealism" Rare Complete Cased Folio of 12 Lithographs (1971). (1904-1989) Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, Marquis of Dalí de Púbol was arguably one of the most influential artists of the 20th Century and quite clearly the greatest Surrealist artist of all time. It is impossible to overstate the impact he had in the art world, but his influence also found its way to film, still photography, sculpture, architecture, theater, fashion and most certainly in pop culture.

Offered is a rare complete cased folio of "Memories of Surrealism" published by Transworld Art Corporation in conjunction with A. and E. Rich in 1971 consisting of 12 signed and numbered lithographs with etchings in colors, with additional pages including justification page introduction and text. Printed on Arches Paper and printed in Paris, France at the Atelier Claude JOBIN limited to 175 copies on Arches numbered A/1 to 175, 40 copies on Japon numbered A/I to XL, 10 dedicated to artist A/A to J and 25 artist proofs numbered A/I to XXV. This edition is A127/175 all numbered in pencil and Dalí signing each lithograph in lower right corner including the non-numbered title page and measure 30 x 25". Further each lithograph is discretely blind embossed with Dalí's signature in lower left corner and on reverse, stamped Salvador Dalí, 1971 in lower right corner.

Etchings included are: Angel of Dada Surrealism, Surrealistic Flower Girl, Ultra Surrealistic Corpusclaire Galutska, Space Elephant, Surrealistic King, The Eye of Surrealistic Time, Dali Surrounded By Butterflies, Dressed in the Nude Surrealistic Fashion, Crazy Crazy Crazy Minerva, Caring for a Surrealistic Watch, Surrealistic Crutches and Surrealistic Gastronomy.

The lithographs and additional pages are in mint condition however on one, The Surrealist King, we note two small toning spots one inch from bottom border. The Portfolio Case is in good condition with some warping, light scratches and reinforced tape to hinged lid. Inside the top lid of portfolio, the inside corners have staining and rippling that in no way impacted the contents.
