Jane Wooster Scott. "Night Funnin'" (Original Gouache on Paper). (born 1920-) One of the most popular artists of folk art painting in US history, even holding a Guinness Book of World Records for her commercial work. Her art is colorful, joyous, playful, charming and immensely appealing capturing small towns throughout the seasons in a style that borrows from Grandma Moses but truly is her own. "Night Funnin'" is an original watercolor and gouache on paper, very typical of her work, but here her colors truly pop against the dark sky, a winter wonderland that is both familiar yet fantastic. Actual artwork is 7 x 19½" (typo on COA) and very handsomely framed and float-mounted to 18 x 31". In excellent condition with the most minor flecking to very edge of paper. Estimated Value $600 - UP
