Offered is a singularly rare, private commission of an oil on canvas by a patron of the arts in Los Angeles, a work later passed onto the son. Anyone familiar with Amiry's work know well his focus has remained in still life subjects. Here he worked on the largest canvas of his career as confirmed by Amiry himself, is a dense, remarkably textured original oil on canvas of a secluded forest, with the artist's mastery of light, perspective and detail clearly evident.
