This collection includes letters and covers signed by a wide variety of statesmen from the 1930s through the 1970s. It is too large to mention all of the names but a few are: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Thomas Dewey, Wendell Willkie, Alfred Smith, Alf Landon, Dean Acheson, James A. Farley, James Forestal, Cordell Hull, John Foster Dulles, Harold C. Ickes, Bernard Baruch, Frank Knox, J.W. Middendorf, William E. Simon, James Schlesinger, Carla Hills, Robert McNamara, Sherman Adams, Tom Eagleton, Nelson Rockefeller, Carl Albert, William E. Miller, Hal Boggs, Henry Cabot Lodge, Estes Kefauver, Bella Abzug, and J. Edgar Hoover. Additionally, there are two typewritten eulogies to Lyndon Johnson, one signed by Tennessee senator Howard Baker, Jr. and the other by Kansas senator James B. Pearson.
