Large Group of Statesmen and World Leaders During the Eisenhower Administration. In June of 1960 young Bob Gross sent out letters to many U.S. statesmen and world leaders, asking for their autograph. Many responded, most often with a signed photo, including: President Tito of Yugoslavia, German Chancellor Adenauer, Supreme Court Justices William O. Douglas and Felix Frankfurter (they sent a SP of the Court and a signed Supreme Court card), members of Eisenhower's Cabinet--Christian A. Herter, Thomas S. Gates, Robert B. Anderson, William P. Rogers, Arthur E. Summerfield, Frederick A. Seaton, Ezra T. Benson, Frederick Mueller, James P. Mitchell, Arthur S. Flemming, and Ivy Baker Priest. Additionally, senators, governors, and other notables such as Nelson Rockefeller, Hubert Humphrey, Barry Goldwater, Everett Dirksen, Stuart Symington, J. Edgar Hoover, Adlai E. Stevenson, Henry Cabot Lodge, Eleanor Roosevelt (a TLS), and Bertrand Russell. The notebook is falling apart but it doesn't affect the photos and other items, which are in overall fine condition.
