Lot 398

1825 N-2 R2 PCGS graded AU58. Attractive lustrous steel brown with frosty golden tan and light brown faded down from mint color in the protected areas on both sides. Great eye appeal for the grade; looks mint state. The best identifying mark is some darker toning inside the bottom of the first S in STATES. Just a hint of friction on the highest points from mint state. M-LDS. There is a fine die crack down through star 7 and another from the bust tip to the peak of the 1 extending to the dentils below, and the reverse is cracked from the dentils under the wreath up to the bottom of the E in CENT. Struck slightly off center to K-7. Our grade is AU58, same as the PCGS grade. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
