1819/8 N-1 R1 Overdate 9 over 8 NGC graded AU58. Glossy reddish steel brown and chocolate. Cleaned long ago and now mostly retoned. Just a few trivial marks including a collection of tiny ticks between the top of the 9 and the curl above and a spot of darker toning (not carbon) off the upper right point of star 2. Sharply struck EDS with smooth, slightly reflective surfaces, especially on the obverse. The overdate feature is sharp. Our grade is AU50 sharpness net EF40+. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Estimate Value $450 - UP
