Lot 375

1817 N-9 R2 PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved. Frosty medium brown and light olive blending to medium olive on the reverse. Flowline luster covers the fields on both sides and the eye appeal is very nice. The only marks, and they are trivial, are a fine hairline scratch in the field close to the chin and a tiny pin prick right of the top of the E in ONE. LDS with a nicely-formed "Mouse Break" on top of the head below star 8 (head to the left, body and short tail to the right). Graded AU55 net AU50 in the Noyes census, his photo #36033. Our grade is AU50. A very nice example of this popular die state. The attribution and Neiswinter provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $800 - UP
