Lot 3

1816 N-3 R4 EF45. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with a small spot of darker olive brown toning at the right top of the F in OF (which can help identify this cent). The surfaces are smooth and the fields are covered with satiny mint frost. There are a few minor ticks on the throat, a long nick tucked under TA in STATES, and a thin nick over the N in CENT. None of these marks is significant and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. MDS with narrow rim cud breaks from star 8 down to star 11. Graded EF45 and tied for CC#5 honors in the Noyes census, his photo #31554. Our grade is EF45 as well. And it comes with a very nice provenance. Estimate Value $1,800 - UP
