1817 N-12 R3 NGC graded XF45. Glossy olive brown and steel with traces of frosty lighter steel brown in protected areas on the reverse. There are a few tiny contact marks scattered over both sides, none notable. The surfaces are smooth and attractive except for a patch of microscopic roughness near the dentil tips between stars 4 & 5. MDS with a very thick crack connecting the 1 & 7 in the date in addition to the earlier die cracks through the date and most stars. A scarce die variety that is difficult to find in grades above VF. Our grade is VF30+. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
