1816 N-2 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty medium steel brown and light olive with faded mint red in protected areas, especially on the obverse. No spots or stains, and the only notable marks are a diagonal nick in the field under the chin and a thin nick on the leaves under the F in OF. E-MDS with the usual rim cud breaks from star 8 down to star 11 but before the additional smaller rim cud between stars 11 & 12. Most likely from the famous Randall Hoard of mint state cents discovered shortly following the end of the US Civil War. Our grade is MS60. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
