1828 N-7 R3 PCGS AU Details Damage. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown. No marks and this cent looks absolutely choice but a glass reveals that it was lightly burnished and expertly retoned long ago. E-MDS with microscopic die flowlines from the dentil tips but no die rust in the field before the portrait. Graded AU50 sharpness net EF40 by Del Bland. We agree with net EF40. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Bland-Vail-Ellsworth provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $500 - UP
