Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 112

Lot 126

1826 N-9 R3 EF45. Sharpness closer to mint state but lightly cleaned and very nicely retoned frosty olive brown and chocolate. Subtle hints of underlying very faded red are visible in a few protected areas on the obverse. Flowline luster covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. Nearly free of marks; a tiny nick off the right end of the line under CENT can help identify this cent. An attractive cent in spite of the retoning. LDS with a small rim cud break over the right side of star 7. Estimate Value $700 - UP
Ex Phil Darby 10/19/2007-Colonel Steven K. Ellsworth, 2014 EAC Sale, lot 225-The Westwood Collection (includes the Ellsworth collection envelope and EAC Sale lot ticket).

Realized $408
