1842-D. Small date. PCGS graded AU-55. A descent strike in pale greenish color gold and untoned with bright surfaces throughout. The strike is shapr on all of Liberty's curls and the eagle's feathers, right down to the shield lines. Only 200 or so are estimated to have survived, this one is in the top quarter of those known. Only 37,917 struck. Pop 20; 20 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 8210) Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
