1825 N-8 R3 PCGS AU Details Scratch. Frosty olive and steel mixed with some lighter brown and reddish chocolate toning on the obverse. The "Scratch" over NE in ONE mentioned on the PCGS label is a struck-through line caused by a fiber or brush bristle on the die, but there are traces of extremely faint roughness on the reverse, mostly at NE and NT in ONE CENT. No verdigris, and the only notable contact marks is a dull nick on the forehead. EDS with an uncracked obverse and sharp dentils on both sides. Our grade is AU50 sharpness net EF45. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $900 - UP
