1858-D. PCGS graded AU-58. A decent strike with light golden orange overtone. Another scarce Gold Dollar, this one showing a mere whisper of circulation on the highest points of the design. A lovely example, and while topped by a few dozen in mint state, certainly would stand tall to represent this rare issue in any advanced collection. Only 3,477 struck. Pop 32; 28 finer at PCGS.
