1825 N-1 R4 NGC graded EF45. Glossy chocolate brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints and lighter golden brown in protected areas. Underlying mint frost covers the protected areas on both sides. Only a few trivial contact marks from choice. This cent has excellent eye appeal, nearly choice. Our grade is VF25+, very close to VF30. E-MDS. The die crack through the bottom of the date is clear but there are no rim cud breaks. Struck slightly off center to K-11.5. This was the finest example of the variety offered in the famous Jules Reiver collection The attribution and Reiver provenance are noted on the NGC label. Estimate Value $1,800 - UP
