Apollo 11: Crew Signed Special Commemorative Cover with Medallion, Edition #3. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Here an unususal crew signed commmemorative cover postmarked July 20, 1969, die-cut to acommodate a commemorative silver medal of man's first steps on the lunar surface. Neil Armstrong has signed in blue ball point and Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins in black. Medallion is stamped on verso of cover 00003 and still has cardboard presentation sleeve with image of the LM's shadow on the moon and within that shadow a quote by Richard Nixon : "TO THE EAGLE CREW ON THE MOON: Because of what you have done, the heavens have ecome part of man's world" Richard M. Nixon, 1969. Cardboard sleeve and cover slide into a protective plastic sleeve (not shown) In near flawless condition with only slight toning on front and back of coin.
